I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
